As fun and oversteery as the Fiesta ST is on dry roads, in a snowy parking lot it's still only good for reverse donuts :( CURSE YOU FWD!!!!!!!!!!!

This is when people who live with snow on the ground for half the year decide on the WRX instead. AWD donuts in any direction are always a blast.

Winters on front, summers on back. Just be careful getting to and from the lot because the car wants to loop at the hint of a corner or braking.

Well when you want to have fun in the snow with FWD it's really your only option. My options were a) stay home, b) ride in a friend's car, or c) rip the shit out of that e-brake. I chose c and it was fun even if it's not real drifting.

Drove the WRX, drove the ST. The ST on summer tires was okay in the snow, and still light on its feet. The WRX feels too heavy and ponderous for my tastes. I already have my old quattro. THat's enough lumbering AWD for me, and I think the Audi feels a bit lighter on snow IMO.

I used to have a V70 AWD runnig a *cough*lots*cough* little extra boost, rotating about center-mass in a snow-filled lot IS something I miss about AWD; but the Fiesta ST is just balls-out-flabergastingly-hillariously fun everywhere else, so I'll live.

I haven't driven the Fiesta ST, but I really enjoyed the hell out of my WRX when I owned it, on all surfaces.

Blasphemy! You have an ST? And you live where it snows? All you need is a little lift off oversteer .
Trust me, the ST is almost more fun to drive in the winter. The Focus ST will rotate on command, and I've heard the Fiesta is even more willing to do so.

Start lifting off the throttle mid turn, you'll be hooked!
